Description


The first thing I found for this gown was embroidered satin with a shell like edge, I fell so in love I knew I had the main skirt. I used crystal encrusted starfish and lots of pearls for other detailing, including hand placing about 500 half pearls along the trim.

The Little Mermaid was my very first princess. Seeing The Little Mermaid in theaters is one of my first memories, (Although I only remember Ursula getting very very big) I always feel very lucky to work on a ballgown or costume that sparks so much nostalgia. I ended up watching the movie twice while creating this!
